Stretch Marks

Laser Technology

Laser Technology is an excellent way to treat stretch marks in a simple, non-invasive way. Fontana provides state-of-the-art laser technology that is designated to treat this skin problem with ease. The laser energy is delivered to the skin at varying degrees of depth and speed to initiate the production of new skin cells. Skin remodeling is an effective course of action for people who want to reduce superficial scars like stretch marks or acne scars. Stretch marks are a common complaint for people who have experienced fast weight gain or pregnancy or who have skin that is prone to stretch marks. With lasers, people can now reduce and eliminate unwanted skin surface issues with laser procedures designed to remodel the skin.

Micro Needling with PRP

Automated microneedling is one of the latest innovations in terms of minimizing the appearance of both scarring and stretch marks. The micro-needling creates damage of the thinned skin of the stretch mark. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) then promotes growth of thicker skin to minimize the appearance of stretch marks.

PRP is produced from the patient's own blood. After a blood sample is obtained from a patient, the blood is put into a centrifuge, which is a tool that separates the PRP from the blood. The blood is spun for approximately 15 minutes in a centrifuge.

PRP contains highly concentrated amounts of natural growth factors and other cytokines that promote the regeneration process of soft tissues. The PRP is applied direly to the channels that were created from the microneedling to further stimulate the natural healing process and creation of collagen.
